A versatile National T.V performer, invokes a different outlook to the entire concept of Bharatnatyam. A student of Guru Krishna A Mani, with several live performances in Mumbai and other places to her credit, has instituted some changes at the dance institute. Harmonising Bharatnatyam with psychotherapy and innovative concepts for a holistic development, yet maintaining the traditional essence of the dance form, she believes her duty does not end with being a dance teacher but extends to being a friend and guide to her students.Suchitra has set upseveral full length dance ballets with a large troupe. Deepashikha,Kunthi- Ek Kathaa, NrityaRamayana, Freedom are some of them. Aatank is the newest ballet in production.Keeping the spirit of Bharatnatyam alive, she believes in the healing power of the dance form. Suchitra has a degree in psychology from RuparelCollege, Mumbai and an MA from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai), and besides being a dance teacher, works as a family and students' counsellor. She is also a part of the counselling centre, Swaadhar. She supplements traditional art with modern concepts and a healing touch. She is the leading exponent of Dance Therapy-using it sucessfully for Parkinsons Disease affected, equinos syndrome affected,autistic and ADHD affected .She has founded the Nritya Prerana Document and Research Center for dance with the aim of providing documentation support for students of various Indian Classical Dance forms. This project is the only private effort of its kind in Pune.

She feels that there is a necessity to propagate the dance form in true spirit and mind, far and wide. The success of her teachings lie in the fact that they help invigorate the students to learn by themselves and add a different approach with innovative concepts.

Her students carry forth her banner of High Achievments. Several of her students have completed their arangetrams under her tutelage. Just to name a few - Kalyani Deshpande is the winner of the Matunga Kalavardhini choreography competion and is the runner up at the Vedic Heritage event AT NewYork,
